Two runaways were caught after escaping from a Butler County juvenile detention center.
Summit Academy sent an alert to residents at 1 p.m. Thursday warning that two students had left the grounds. The alert suggested nearby residents lock their cars and doors and to not interact with the students.
The teens were captured about 2 p.m.
It’s unclear how- or where- the students were nabbed.
Summit Academy is a private, residential program for boys and young men ages 14 to 19 who have committed juvenile and adult criminal offenses.
