Alvin L Bollman, 92, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 11, 2018 at the VA Butler Healthcare.
He was born September 30, 1925 in Galitzen, Pennsylvania to the late William Bollman and the late Esther Smith Bollman.
Alvin worked as a Truck Driver/Heavy Equipment Operator for Armco Steel retiring in 1991 after 45 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking.
Alvin is survived by his two daughters, Lorraine (Michael) Hildebrandt of Butler, PA, Brenda (Dave Konar) Matonak of Butler, PA; two sons, Douglas Allen (Dyan) Bollman of Butler, PA, Dennis James (Beth) Bollman of Butler, PA; four grandchildren, Candace Schlobohm, Cody Bollman, Dennis Bollman, Kiley Bresnahan; two great grandchildren, Logan Schlobohm, Rhemy Schlobohm, Gianna Bollman, and Brody Bollman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Garnette McAfee Bollman, whom he married on December 19, 1954 and who passed away in March of 1981, and one brother; James Bollman.
Friends will be received on Thursday June 14, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 1:00 pm the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Rev. Robert Edmundson, officiating.
Burial will take place in the Greenlawn Burial Estates.
