Billie J. Morabito, 90, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 25, 2018 at the Fair Winds Manor.
She was born October 16, 1928 in Butler, Pennsylvania to the late Rex A. Jewell and the late Virginia Dumbaugh Jewell.
Billie was a member of Nixon United Methodist Church. She graduated from Butler High School in 1946. Billie was a homemaker. In her earlier years, she worked at Penn Twp. Elementary School as a cafeteria manager and then later as a cook at the Saxonburg Elementary School. She attended the Bell Telephone girl luncheons and was a member of Tanglewood Senior Center. Billie enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles.
Billie is survived by her husband, Vito C. Morabito, who she married on July 14, 1947; one daughter, Joanne (Patrick) Morabito-Miller; two sons, Keefe (Mona) Morabito, Timothy Morabito; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Irvan) Syam, Gary (Melissa) Kline, Corey (Amanda) Morabito, Rob Latulola, Alex Latulola; eight great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren; one brother, Rex (Judy) Jewell; one sister, Nancy Sarver; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy Filippone.
Friends will be received Wednesday, November 28, 2018, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. Immediately following the visitation, a funeral service will be held on at 5:00 pm at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home Inc., 124 East North St. Butler, PA, with Pastor B.T. Gilligan of Nixon United Methodist Church, officiating.
Private burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
