If you’ve never experienced a live auction before in-person, you have a chance to see one this evening at the Butler Farm Show.
The annual Butler County 4-H-FFA Livestock Sale will begin at 6 p.m. inside the Livestock Barn.
The event is a crowd favorite- and a favorite of the local “4-H”-ers, like Maggie Shwam.
“I love it,” Shwam said. “It’s so fun to get up there and show my sheep.”
Director of Butler County 4-H Amy Metrick says every year the barn is packed for the livestock sale.
“It’s organized confusion,” Metrick said with a laugh. “It’s so fun to see the kids up there. It’s so rewarding for them.”
The Butler County 4-H program is open to kids ages 8 to 18 from any school district in the county.
