Cranberry Township’s Emergency Medical Service has been honored by the American Heart Association for its involvement in the Association’s Mission Lifeline-EMS program.
The Mission: Lifeline’s Silver Plus EMS award that Cranberry EMS received recognizes care strategies that enable them to quickly identify suspected heart attack patients, promptly notify a nearby medical center, and trigger an early response from waiting hospital personnel.
A better educated public has led to Cranberry’s above average numbers. The intervention of bystanders who knew how to perform CPR until the ambulance arrived took place in a majority of the incidents in Cranberry.
The public is invited to attend Cranberry EMS’s free CPR classes. The Free Hands Only Class in on 11/10/18 from 10-2PM. The other certified classes are on 8/18,10/20 and 12/15 and there is a fee associated with those of $40 per level requested.
