The public is invited to attend a local theater festival getting underway this weekend in Freeport.
It’s the Freeport Theatre Festival, which is celebrating its 29th season.
The opening play is a historical drama “Washington in the Ohio Country,” which opens this Friday, July 13, and continues for three weekends through July 29. All performances begin at 7 p.m.
This is the 29th summer season of the festival. The theater is located in a scenic area of the northern Laurel Highlands- where Butler, Armstrong, Allegheny and Westmoreland counties come together.
Tickets start at $15, with discounts available for students, seniors and military members. Visit the Freeport Theatre Festival website here for more information.
