Gertrude “Renee” Irene Pryor Kniess, age 80, of Fairchance, formerly of Prospect, passed away Tuesday at Uniontown Hospital.
Born September 30, 1935 at her home in Rose Point, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Edna Rodgers Pryor.
While living in Prospect, she enjoyed being a member of the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, the Prospect Vol. Fire Dept., and the Ladies Auxiliary. She loved bingo, playing cards, and making crafts.
She is survived by her children: Sherry Stelter of Ellwood City, Pamela (Thomas) Kniess Cox of Fairchance, Barbara (Dennis) Kreutz of Transfer, and Randall (Kathy) Kniess of Unionville; 9 Grandchildren; 18 Great Grandchildren, and a sister Ethel Jones of Connoquenessing.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son David Kniess, great grandson Tarrinn Sub, and her sister Mary Margaret Pryor Stelter.
Visitation will be on Friday, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Edward L. Raisley Funeral Home. Visitation on Saturday, 9-11am, with the funeral at 11am, in the Raisley Funeral Home, with Pastor George Marasia, officiating.
Interment will be in the Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect.
