John L. Klinehamer, 88, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
He was born August 9, 1930 in Oil City, Pennsylvania to the late Hollis L. and Isabelle (Dunn) Klinehamer.
John was a member of the Faith Fellowship Alliance Church. He was a 1948 graduate of Oil City High School and a member of Silver Sneaker’s.
He is survived by one son, Richard P. (Leslie) Klinehamer of New Castle; one daughter, Linda J. (Larry) Wetzel of Butler; four grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah) Wetzel, Christopher Wetzel, Danielle Wetzel, and Andrew McCann; two great-grandchildren, Owen and Elliott Wetzel; one brother Joseph (Carol) Klinehamer of Ohio; one sister Mary Ann (Richard) Browsky of Arizona; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his wife Joann (Rembold) Klinehamer whom passed away on October 11, 2016 and a son, Terry Klinehamer on November 1, 1977.
Friends will be received by the family Tuesday December 4, 2018 from 4 – 7 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA .
Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am immediately following visitation at the Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., with Reverend Richard Jenks, officiating.
Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home by Officers and Members of the American Legion Post #117, Butler, American Legion Post #778, Lyndora, and VFW Post #249, Butler.
Burial will take place in the Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
