A local lawmaker is asking municipalities within his district to enact business-friendly policies, as he believes Slippery Rock Borough recently did.
State Representative Aaron Bernstine sent a letter to all 23 municipalities in the 10th Legislative District- which includes portions of Butler, Beaver and Lawrence counties.
Bernstine worked with Slippery Rock Mayor Jondavid Longo and council members earlier this year to come up with a 25 percent fee reduction proposal for new businesses that locate within the borough. That proposal was officially adopted last month.
In order to realize his goal of bringing jobs to the district, Bernstine hopes to partner with other local officials in a similar manner.
