The South Butler School Board has agreed to a new deal with the individuals employed as support staff within the district.
By unanimous vote during a meeting Wednesday, the board approved a contract with the South Butler County Educational Support Professional Association that retroactively begins July 1, 2014 and will continue through June 20, 2023.
The board adjourned for a brief executive session to discuss some details in private before the vote, and the agreement is subject to solicitor’s review of final language.
According to Superintendent Dr. David Foley, the contract does include raises for support staff and has already been ratified by a vote of the union representing these employees last month.
