How to Avoid Student Loan Debt

April 21, 2022 @ 7:00 pm

Event Location: 110 State St., Saxonburg, PA

Event Details: A free presentation on how to avoid student loan debt will be held at 7 pm April 21 in Centennial Hall at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, 110 State St., Saxonburg.

“Borrowed Future,” a documentary produced by Ramsey Solutions, will discuss how to avoid student loan debt. The average student loan balance for a 35-year-old individual is $42,600. Some 49% of student borrowers are still paying off their loans 20 years later, according to the Education Data Initiative.

Following the presentation, attendees will be offered the opportunity to register for a personalized coaching session to address specific issues faced by the college student and family. Attendance and watching the entire film are prerequisites for the free coaching session. Bev Miller, a Ramsey master financial coach, will help each family develop a plan to meet the student’s educational goals without going into debt.

The event is hosted by St. Luke’s Fellowship of Christian Stewardship (FCS). For more information, please contact the church office at (724) 352-2333.
