A local historian and storyteller will present a program tomorrow about the glory days of Butler’s theaters.
Bill May is presenting The History of Butler’s Movie Theaters Thursday beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Alameda Park’s Carousel Shelter.
May will use rare photos, video clips, and stories of famous live performers to tell the story of Butler’s opera houses and many movie theaters. Some famous Hollywood stars even claimed Butler as their hometown.
There is no charge for admission to this talk which is sponsored by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department.
