The Pittsburgh Penguins have released their 2021-22 schedule. The Pens will open the season against the Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning in Florida Tuesday, October 12th. Their first home game of the season will be against the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday, October 16th and will open an eight-game home stand.
The NHL Entry Draft begins tonight with the First Round selections beginning at 8pm. The opening night will be televised on ESPN2. The Pittsburgh Penguins do not have first round selection, having traded that selection to the Minnesota Wild in the package to acquire forward Jason Zucker. The Pens are slated to make second and fifth-round selections Saturday, and also have three seventh-round picks.
