Major League Baseball Playoffs:
–The Atlanta Braves eliminated the Milwaukee Brewers following a 5-4 victory last night, taking their best-of-five National League Divisional Series 3-1. Former Pirate Charlie Morton pitched into the fourth inning for the Braves, allowing two runs on four hits. Morton struck out five. Milwaukee closer Josh Hader allowed a game-winning home run to Atlanta first baseman Freddie Freeman in the eighth inning.
–The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the San Francisco Giants 7-2 last night to even their National League Divisional Series at 2-2. Game Five will be in San Francisco tomorrow night. The winner of that game will meet the Braves in the NLCS.
–The Houston Astros eliminated the Chicago White Sox in four games with a 10-1 victory Tuesday afternoon. The Astros will host the Boston Red Sox in the American League Championship Series beginning Friday.
