A day after Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred and Players Union executive director Tony Clark met to discuss the latest MLB offer to begin the 2020 season, the players union offered a counter offer. This came after Manfred believed the previous offer built the framework for the season, but now the players have proposed a 70-game schedule, which changes the proposed prorated salary structure.
One new addition that may appear if a season gets underway – corporate advertising on player uniforms.
