Two people are facing charges for allegedly kidnapping- and holding two teenagers hostage.
The alleged incident started around 9:30 p.m. Saturday at a home on Mercer Butler Pike, Route 258, in Liberty Township, Mercer County- which is just north of Slippery Rock.
According to State Police, 21-year-old Jory Loughman and 19-year-old Ariel Arblaster are accused of pistol-whipping and blindfolding a 15- and 18-year-old boy and driving them away from a residence. Police say multiple shots were reported to have been fired from within the vehicle. The boys were also allegedly held at gunpoint and bound.
At some point, the victims managed to free themselves, take control of a vehicle and escape.
Loughman and Arblaster are facing numerous charges and are in the Mercer County Jail. A motive for the kidnapping is unclear.
