Butler County officially began the process of reviewing ballots from select precincts for the 2020 election yesterday.
County Solicitor Wil White said the process began by separating the ballots into their respective precinct. But, that process will most likely consume the rest of the week.
Yesterday members of the election staff went through all of the ballots from the 2020 election and separated the 600 ballots from the Butler City 4-1 precinct.
After that, they will repeat that same process to identify ballots from Donegal Township and Middlesex Township.
White projected the actual hand counting and scanning will start Monday at 9 a.m.
He believes the review process will take at least two weeks. The review is open to the public inside the conference room in the Butler County Government Center annex.
