John E. “Johnny Katt” Henricks, 51, of Karns City, Pennsylvania, passed away on June 6, 2019 at the UPMC Presbyterian after his brave endeavor to help find a cure for Scleroderma.
He was born February 21, 1968 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Patricia Walsh Henricks of Butler and the late Joseph Henricks.
John was the owner and operator of Henricks Restoration and Remodeling for several years. He was passionate about music especially playing the drums in numerous local bands in the area. Johnny Katt loved spending time as a supportive partner, father and grandfather. He was an avid sports fan of the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. Johnny Katt loved kayaking, and skiing
He is survived by the love of his life Jenifer Baker of 21 year’s, three daughters, Breauna Henricks of Butler, PA, Franky Duffield of Prospect, PA, Lauren Baker of Evans City, PA; five grandchildren; five brothers, David Henricks of WA, Bill (Sheryl) Henricks of Butler, PA, Tony (Caroline) Henricks of Butler, PA, Vince (Karen) Henricks of MS, Tom (Lisa) Henricks of Slippery Rock, PA; four sisters, Kate Coradi of Butler, PA, Maggie Henricks of Butler, PA, Mary (Rick) Emery of Butler, PA, Nancy (Herman) Rushing of Butler, PA; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother Patrick Henricks, and a brother at infancy.
Friends will be received Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 1- 3 pm & 5 until time of memorial service at 7:00 pm at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
His life was filled with wonderful friends, family and music. Johnny was a selfless, talented, and funny man who will never be forgotten. His last words were “Until the end- strong like bull”.
If sending flowers, family request’s that they are purple.
Private burial will be at a later date.
