A Butler County beagle with an inspiring story has made it to the finals of a national competition.
After losing his back legs due to animal cruelty as a puppy, Boone was fitted for a wheelchair and began therapy training to help kids with mobility issues.
Now, Boone finds himself as a finalist for the American Humane Hero Dog Awards.
He’s also affectionately known as Bow Tie Boone because of his outfits—and is serving as the ambassador for the nonprofit Joey’s P.A.W.
Boone joins six other finalists that will be honored on a nationwide broadcast on Hallmark Channel this fall.
Voting is open daily from now until September 7th.
