It was another record-breaking year in fundraising for the Butler County Community College Education Foundation golf outing.
BC3 officials say the event raised $115,000, breaking last year’s previous record of $100,000.
A full field of college supporters, vendors, board members and more participated in the outing which was held at Olde Stonewall Golf Club near Ellwood City.
“It was phenomenal,” Lynn Ismail, interim assistant director of the BC3 Education Foundation and its financial manager, said. “We are at another record-breaking year. We appreciate the great support of Farmers National Bank with the title sponsorship. And from the golfers’ standpoint, they love the course. They love our organization. It’s a community college and they like to support the community college and its students.”
A team sponsored by NexTier Bank was the winner shooting 17 under in a scramble format.
