The Butler County Community College women’s volleyball team won their third Region 20 title in a row Saturday. The Lady Pioneers swept host Anne Arundel Community College 3-0 in the finals. BC3 won games 25-10, 25-21 and 25-19 in the championship match. They also swept Howard Community College in the semifinals.
The undefeated Pioneers will now host the three-team Mid-Atlantic District tournament this weekend. BC3 will be joined by Sandhills Community College from Pinehurst, North Carolina and two-time defending national champion Owens Community College from Perrysburg, Ohio. The winning team will move on to the national championships in Rochester, Minnesota. BC3 is now 15-0 for the first time in head coach Rob Snyder’s 22 seasons.
