A rally and march against a vaccine mandates happened Friday morning in downtown Butler.
Around 20 people gathered this morning at Diamond Park with signs and megaphones protesting against vaccine requirements for workers.
The protest comes as local healthcare organizations that receive funding from Medicare and Medicaid are going to deal with a federal requirement mandating COVID vaccinations for healthcare workers.
The group was planning on marching toward Butler Memorial Hospital later to express their opposition to the mandate.
The deadline to be fully vaccinated is January 4, 2022 according to CMS.
