A local organization is holding a general membership meeting later this week.
The Butler Collaborative for Families has planned the meeting for Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon at Monarch Place. A guest speaker will discuss a mobile dental practice and attendees will vote on the Youth Community Representative position on the Executive Committee after hearing from two candidates.
The Butler County Prevention Council will distribute a short survey about programs that address protective factors. The information gathered through this survey will help the council create an inventory of programs that support and strengthen local families.
Finally, the Resource and Development Committee plans to offer a training presentation called Current Trends in Addiction following the meeting from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. A local medical expert will discuss trends in local drug use as well as treatment strategies. The cost to attend is $20 with BCF members receiving a 50% discount.
