Barbara Jean Fundark, age 79, of Herman, passed away in the comfort of her home on Fri., July 7, 2023.
Born in Sewickley on Jan. 3, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Ellen Mae McCurdy Covert.
Barbara was a retired travel agent who was employed by Frontier Travel Agency. She was also retired from Sheetz on Center Avenue.
She was a volunteer at the Butler County Humane Society. She enjoyed reading Stephen King books and loved John Wayne. Most of all, she loved watching The Andy Griffith Show with her “best buddy”, her grandson, Paul.
She is survived by two children, Lynn Ann Fundark, of Oregon, and Ronald Fundark and his wife, Tiffany, of Herman; six grandchildren, Josh Long, Sean Long, David Long, Sebastian Fundark, Nico (Steve) Fundark Salamon and Paul Fundark; and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her beloved Yorkie, Schnitzel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald P. Fundark, who passed away Nov. 7, 2020. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Neyman and three brothers, Daniel, Richard and Roger Covert.
At Barbara’s request, there will be no services.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Adult Day Services at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Martin Funeral Home, Inc., 429 Center Ave., Butler.
