Dominick “Peppy” Monteleone

Dominick “Peppy” Monteleone, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with heart disease. He was born in Butler on February 16, 1940 to the late Dominic and Antoinette (Zaccari) Monteleone. Peppy was a 1959 graduate of Butler High School where he was a stellar football and basketball player. He retired from Armco after 40 years. Peppy enjoyed playing golf, tennis and watching sports, especially his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish, and most of all watching his grandchildren excel in sports. He was a member of American Legion 778 and the Italian Society of Butler. Peppy leaves behind his loving wife, of 32 years, Paula (Jones) Monteleone; father of Lisa (Rich) Kotch, Leslie Monteleone, Kendra (Damon) Graham, Erin (Scott) Browne and Steve Monteleone; brother of Art (Peggy) Monteleone and Joe (Josephine) Monteleone; grandfather of Tyler, Tanner, Marriah, Trevor, Emma, Brookelle, Logan, Vanessa, Chloe, and Maddox; great grandfather of Liam, David and Layah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Jim (Rena) Monteleone. Family and friends will be received on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 4-7 PM at the SPENCER D.
