Theresa Marie Ligus, 88, of Butler, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
She was born January 26, 1930 in Butler, the daughter of the late Leo and Leaudra (Miller) Evans.
She is a member of St. Peter Parish Family Church where she was in the Ladies Guild. Theresa had been a waitress at Days Inn and Lake Arthur. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Catholic Daughters of America.
Surviving are her son, Robert (Yvonne) Ligus of Butler; 3 daughters, Regina (Dennis) Fleeger of Butler, Roxann Ligus and Raylene (Wayne) Nagle, all of Butler; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; her sister, Anna Franchuk, of Butler; and her brother, John Evans of Butler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ligus, a daughter, Robin Ligus, a grandchild, Kyle Hasychak, 2 sisters, Rita Twerdok and Pauline Chepelsky and 2 brothers, Leo Evans, Jr. and Patrick “PJ” Evans.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 2-4 & 6-8PM.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Peter Parish Family Church, 127 Franklin St. Butler, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:30AM with Father Harry Bielewicz officiating.
Entombment will follow in the Butler County Memorial Park.
