Butler County’s long-awaited dog park will open next weekend. This is amazing news for all the dog owners in the county who have been struggling to find suitable places to exercise their dogs.

Butler County Parks Director Lance Welliver told the Butler County commissioners during a meeting Wednesday that he worked alongside Butler County Treasurer Diane Marburger to get the TV added to the park.
“We will also be displaying any upcoming rabies clinics or dog licensing events so all the dog owners who are standing at the park watching their dogs play will see them,” Marbuger said.
She noted the TV is being paid for by administration fees her office is given by the state Bureau of Dog Law and no county taxpayer dollars are being used.
The dog park is set to open on Saturday, May 11.
