Thinking about adding solar panels to your home or business?
A solar co-op is holding an informational meeting this week for property owners in Butler and Beaver counties that are curious about adding solar power to their properties. Due to the increased demand for sustainable energy in both residential and commercial sectors, it has been decided that the cumulative decision of whether or not solar power could be added to properties should be a cumulative one. As we know, solar energy is one of the most sustainable and cleaner sources of renewable energy, holding multiple benefits for the people as well as for the environment. But we also have taken into account the cost bearings that will come with the inclusion and installation of solar power panels in our community.
The group Solar United Neighbors will host the informational session from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at the Adams Ridge Clubhouse in Mars. Refreshments will be provided.
Those interested in learning about the process of using solar power and the potential cost savings are encouraged to attend. Nearly 30 people have already committed to solar locally and it is free to join, according to the group. If you have a recommended solar panel installer in mind, you could bring in your references as well, which after deliberations of the committee will be considered.
Please do remember that by the end of July will the deadline for new members to sign up to maximize savings for themselves.
