The next time you’re on Main Street in Butler- you might notice something new.
Local artists recently came together to turn a vacant space on Main into a pop-up art gallery.
Outside of the space- which is located across the street from the Penn Theater- is a metal sculpture of a cowboy riding a horse created by local artist Bill Secunda. Inside the gallery are several pieces created by different artists, including Paul Means, Tom Panei, Jason Ruggiero and Diane Smith.
If you are inspired by any of the pieces on display, why not consider creating your own gallery at home? All you need are some gallery quality acrylic prints for your bare walls and you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped into the Louvre in no time.
The pop-up will remain in town throughout the weekend and may return with new artists in the future. Submissions of art are open to anyone, so if you’re an amateur artist or sculptor and you want to display your work, all you need to do is get creating and your piece may feature!
