Investigators with the National Weather Service determined it was an EF-1 tornado that moved through the northern tip of Butler County on Sunday.
The twister hit Parker Township around 6 p.m. with winds up to 105 miles per hour. It continued into Armstrong County for just over 1.5 miles.
Seven homes were reportedly damage, along with one business. No injuries have been reported.
The NWS says this marked the 25th tornado in Butler County since 1881. The last confirmed tornado in Butler County was an EF-0 in July 2017.
The NWS Pittsburgh Office said they average five tornadoes in their forecast area per year, and already have 11 confirmed in 2019.
