Some local residents experienced a power outage Tuesday night.
Over 1,600 people were without power shortly after 8 p.m. with most of those in the city of Butler and Butler Township, as well as some in Jefferson, Summit, Penn, and Center townships.
According to West Penn Power, the original estimated time of power restoration was around midnight Wednesday. Power was restored for all but about 300 people by 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The cause of the outage was a pole that was struck near the intersection of Center and Wallula avenues in the City of Butler.
As of daybreak Wednesday, all service had been restored.
