The City of Butler continues to explore all options when it comes to monetizing its parking assets.
Parking Manager Jimmy Chiprean says roughly thirty companies have responded to the city’s Request For Proposal to see what kind of interest there might be in selling or leasing city parking.
Although no official bids have been received yet, at least six are expected. The deadline for companies to submit those bids has been extended to Monday, Sept. 9.
The city has not yet made the decision to monetize their parking assets but they have hired a consultant to appraise and develop a marketing plan for the city’s parking system.
