A local non-profit organization has received national recognition while also shedding light on a concerning trend among young people.
The group CANDLE, Inc which oversees the Reality Tour Drug Prevention Program for parents and children in eight states has been named a 2019 Top-Rated Nonprofit by GreatNonprofits.
This is the 7th year in a row that CANDLE, Inc has received this designation from GreatNonprofits which is a site for donors and volunteers to find information and ratings about nonprofits.
Organizers have recently modified the Reality Tour program to include more focus on the dangers to teens of candy-flavored e-cigarettes and the possibility that vaping can be used as a drug delivery system for substances like marijuana.
The next Reality Tour program is planned for September 26th at Hope Lutheran Church in Cranberry.
