Butler City Council has agreed to sell some surplus vehicles but it will continue to try to find a better offer for another vehicle through an online bidding website.
The City will receive a total of $16,500 from the sale of two dump trucks, a Ford F-550, and a Chevy Impala. The money will be deposited into the City’s general fund for any expenses.
City Council rejected a high bid of $1 for a leaf collection vehicle that included three collection boxes. Instead, the city will attempt to get more money through listing the vehicle on the Municibid website which holds live auctions for government surplus including vehicles.
