A western Pennsylvania native singer-songwriter is planning to welcome in the holiday season with a couple of upcoming shows.
Chris Jamison is performing “Christmas with Chris” Thursday at 7 p.m. and Friday at 7:30 p.m. at The Strand Theater in Zelienople.
Jamison finished in third place as a contestant on the singing competition television show The Voice five years ago and the experience has made a big impact on his life.
“It was a life changing experience and one that I didn’t anticipate happening in my life as a little kid from Pittsburgh,” Jamison said. “Through different events, I ended up where I am now and I’m blessed.”
Jamison has something for everyone planned for what has become one of his favorite performances.
“It’s turned out to be my favorite show of the year,” Jamison said. “It’s very family friendly. It’ll be a fun night where we’ll do a lot of traditional Christmas songs, but also deliver them in a new, fresh way. So there’s something from everyone.”
