An accident on New Year’s Day in Parker Township has resulted in charges against a Petrolia woman.
According to State Police, 23-year-old Aliya Eiler was traveling south on Kittanning Pike just after 7 a.m. when she fell asleep and drifted off the road on a curve.
Eiler’s vehicle struck a PA Game Commission sign and several trees before traveling 50 feet down a hillside. Eiler then allegedly left the scene of the crash before reporting it to 911 or police. She was identified as the person responsible either this week (Monday).
Police have charged Eiler with failure to drive at a safe speed.
