Police are continuing their investigation into a case involving a Slippery Rock man that occurred last week.
According to State Police, Troopers were dispatched to a residence on Baney Lane in Forward Township just after 11pm last Wednesday (January 22nd) for a report of a verbal domestic dispute.
Authorities say that prior to their arrival; a 27-year-old Slippery Rock man doused himself and a wooden porch with gasoline while holding a lighter and threatening to light himself on fire. A family member was able to subdue the man prior to police arrival.
Police say that the incident began after the Slippery Rock man became irate after he was unable to gain access to a computer that was locked by his step-father.
The unidentified man was later taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for medical attention. It is unknown if any charges will be filed.
