A group of local students is lending a hand to animals affected by the recent wildfires in Australia.
Seneca Valley’s Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America has been teaming up with the Senior High School Strengthening, Positivity, and Reinforcing Kindness Club to make items at the Intermediate High School this week.
Students have been sewing joey pouches, marsupial pouches, bat wraps, and other items to help the recovery of animals from burns and other injuries as well as loss of habitat.
The clubs will use a partnership with Relief Crafters of America to send the items to Australia at the end of the month.
