Staff members at Butler County Community College’s Amy Wise Children’s Creative Learning Center are making plans to give preschoolers a special send off later this week.
Four staff members will wear facemasks and gloves during a drive-through ceremony for 27 3 to 5-year-olds on Wednesday. 11 of those students will be moving on to attend kindergarten this fall.
The staff members have not seen the children since March 11th due to COVID-19 but they are giving parents the option to stop by the drop off circle between 10 and 11 a.m. to put a bow on a year of learning.
Occupants will remain in their vehicles but a staff member will place a gift bucket into the trunk of each vehicle while maintaining safe social distance. Each bucket will contain bottles of bubbles, boxes of sidewalk chalk, and packets of planting seeds.
