The United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania is holding a very special Day of Caring this weekend.
United Way is encouraging local residents to volunteer around an hour of time to create care packages that will benefit elderly members of the community or families who are struggling during the COVID-19 crisis.
Those packages can then be brought on Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon to a local contactless drop-off point which in our area is at the Butler County Office on West Jefferson Street.
Projects include summer activity kits for kids, personal protection packs, “I Care” cards for seniors, and baby supply packs. Participants are encouraged to share their volunteer efforts on social media using the #UnitedWayCares or tagging @unitedwayswpa.
