An expert will provide guidance about making yards, gardens, and landscaping more pollinator friendly at an event this weekend in Cranberry Township.
The Cranberry Community Apiary is hosting the first open event of the year from 10 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the facility on Freshcorn Road.
In addition to advice from local gardening guru Doug Oster, this event will also include a tour of a honeybee hive as well as a discussion about the complexity of bees.
Participants will be asked to arrive with masks on and maintain social distancing. No open toed shoes are permitted and long pants should be worn. Safety gear will be provided.
Space is limited to ensure the safety of those who attend. Call the Cranberry Township Municipal Building for more information.
