A two-vehicle accident shut down Route 422 eastbound for a little over a half hour Wednesday night.
The crash happened around 7 p.m. near the Mercer Road overpass when the driver of an SUV collided with a vehicle on the side of the road.
The driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital—it’s unclear the extent of their injuries.
The accident led to major traffic delays, until crews cleared the scene around 8 p.m.
