After a fairly wet end to last week, and some showers throughout this week, Butler County has broken out of “moderate drought” status.
The National Weather Service updated the drought map, and made the change, categorizing the most of the county as “abnormally dry.”
Most of Western Pennsylvania also dropped out of the drought status according to weather officials.
