The Butler Area School Board has decided to give Superintendent Dr. Brian White a new contract.
White was hired by the district three years ago with a five year contract but once the window opened to negotiate a new deal, the board wasted no time in approving a new five year agreement with the top administrator that runs through June 30, 2025.
A statement issued by the board praised White’s leadership and called him an “asset” to the district as well as expressed appreciation for “all that he has done so far. White believes that this stability will help the district move forward even further than it already has.
This new contract will pay White an increase of at least two percent per year with the possibility of more based on the salaries of other superintendents in the region.
