Pennsylvania’s top health official is warning state residents to take the necessary precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as we get into cooler temperatures.
Dr. Rachel Levine says it’s important for people to be careful this fall and winter.
“As we go into colder weather, more people spend more times indoors,” Levine said. “Cold weather with less humidity does impact the spread of respitory viruses, such as the flu and COVID-19. So we’re concerned about potential increases across the United States and Pennsylvania.
Levine also encourages everyone to get a flu shot.
