County officials say they’ve had a number of people sign up for the county’s new emergency alert system, but they’re hoping for more.
The CodeRED emergency notification warning system was introduced to the county earlier this year, and officials say more than 8,000 people have signed up so far.
The service sends you emergency alerts for events like severe thunderstorms, flash floods, tornadoes and any other potentially life threatening event or emergency.
You can register through the county’s website.
