A Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Fighter has been recognized for helping to save a life.
Spencer Shea recently received the Company’s Merit Award for his actions last month.
On September 20th around 6 p.m. two adults and two young children arrived at the Route 19 station with an 18-month-old child who was not breathing. Shea performed resuscitation actions until the child began to improve then turned the child over to Cranberry Township EMS.
The Merit Award is given by the CTVFC Board of Directors for exceptional meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. This is the fourth time this award has been presented in the history of the Cranberry Volunteer Fire Company.
