Gas prices continue to inch downward locally as well as across western Pennsylvania as a whole this week.
According to AAA’s weekly gas price report, the average price for a gallon regular, unleaded, self-serve in Butler, as of Monday, is $2.41 per gallon which is a decrease of three cents compared to last week.
Prices dropped by two cents to $2.50 per gallon across western Pennsylvania as a whole over the past week. The most affordable average price for gas in the area can be found in New Castle at $ 2.23 per gallon, while the most expensive is $2.60 in Mercer and Warren.
The average national gas price sank by four cents this week to $2.12 which is the lowest it has been at this point in the year since 2004.
