The Seneca Valley School District has decided to move Senior High School students from in-person instruction to remote learning.
The decision was made effective Monday as a result of a surge in COVID-positive cases at the school including eight students confirmed and another pending.
Seneca Valley juniors and seniors should not report to school for classes and instead all classroom learning will be through livesteamed lessons. This precaution will remain in effect through Friday (11/13).
Students in grades 7 and 8 at Ryan Gloyer Middle School who are currently remote learning will return to in-person instruction on Wednesday. All future decisions will be made using data from the local community as well as from the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
