Cranberry Township is getting an early start on the holiday season this weekend with the first in a series of events.
Although the annual Santa’s First Stop event had to be canceled this year due to limitations on gatherings, a virtual form of the event is planned for Friday at 7 p.m.
The Township will use their Facebook page to broadcast Santa and Mrs. Claus’ arrival on a specially decorated fire truck to throw a switch lighting the community tree on the Municipal Center’s front lawn. The festival couple will also tour the Cranberry Tree Gallery and read a story for kids of all ages.
Additional holiday events in Cranberry include a Jingle Bell Tour from noon to 2 p.m. and a Holiday Village Market from 5 to 9 p.m. both on Saturday, December 5th.
